faulty system

my PC is dead yesterday.
there is a underscore on the screen. nothing else happen. emailed Intel. isolated this to motherboard/cpu. I doubt its memory. DP35DP....

is shadow protect exchange / sql server

storageCraft's shadow protect, yet to figure out whether its exchange\SQL aware. it seems its SQL2000 aware.

however, manually type in the address at the field [from:], a bouce back will be generated.
workaround, select address from the GAL, it will work.

Fedora Core 10 and Hyper-V windows 2008

now load FC10 onto Hyper-V Windows 2008. It failed to install on the first attempt. after a reset, it started to run. then fiddled with legacy NIC, suddenly I'm connected to the net so I can write this blog post.

This is a good start for me in the new year/CNY. I had lots of bad luck with linux in 2007. I couldn't even load a server linux distro properly for some bizarre reason in 2007.

the fonts are much smooth in FC10 Gnome than before. The Web interface is much better.
