well, someone's foxpro database got scrambled last friday. so I have to restore last Thursday's backup.
the veritas backes up to disk drive, the best way to do it is to copy the backup data to the original location (backup-disk-folder). then do a catalogue. at last do a restore from there.
the same goes for NTbackup restore, copy the backup file to the original backup location, do a catalogue, then restore to the original location, if it is not overwriting the new data, then restore to a different location.
