unsend a google email

To "unsend" an email in Gmail, you can use the "Undo Send" feature. This feature allows you to recall an email you've just sent within a short time frame, allowing you to edit the message or cancel sending it completely. By default, you have 5 seconds to undo, but you can extend this time in Gmail settings up to 30 seconds.

Here's how to use Undo Send:

1. Send the email:

Compose and send your email as usual.

2. Look for the "Undo" option:

Immediately after sending, you'll see a pop-up notification in the bottom left corner. This pop-up will display "Message sent" and the option to "Undo".

3. Click "Undo":

Click the "Undo" button within the time frame you've set in your settings (default is 5 seconds).

4. Edit or cancel:

You'll be taken back to the draft of the email, where you can edit the message or choose to discard it altogether.

To adjust the Undo Send time:

Open Gmail settings: Click the gear icon in the top right corner of Gmail, then select "See all settings".

Find Undo Send: Locate the "Undo Send" option under the General tab.

Adjust the time: Change the "Send cancellation period" to your desired timeframe (5, 10, 20, or 30 seconds).

Save changes: Scroll to the bottom of the page and click "Save change
