the user said he couldn't access his DS107e drive.
I downloaded the synology assistant, it reported that the device hasn't got firmware.
so I downloaded the firmware, it warned me about wiping the data. but the user wanted the data.
pull out the hard drive from the enclosure. did a brief seagate tools test, it indicated the drive physically seemed fine. I think its quite hot tho.
... sigh ... use a toll called explorer2fs, no luck
on a windows 2008 PC with sata cable attached, those 2fs tool can't find the drive, windows diskmgmt can't find either.
try a windows 2003 PC with a USB enclosure, the diskmgmt see the drive as unknown, but those 2fs tools can't find anything...
