SBS 2008 and Samsung Galaxy android phones

SBS 2008 and Samsung Galaxy android phones

there is something called social hub

then configure activesync

bt default, it will put a pin and password code on,

but client doesn't like it , they dont want punch a password while driving

so I disabled in sbs2008 (exchange 2007) , organization-client-access password tab , tick off password

now interesting things happen to folding guys fury, one samsung phone doesn't ask for pin/pw, but wont sync. for this one , I configured / reconfigured , even restarted exchange agent. eventually it started working without asking for pin/password

the other phone ask for pin (not password anymore), it can sync.  removed /added the activesync on the mobile, still no luck, it keeps asking for pin which is 1234 as I set last friday. the trick foe this one is in the settings, local security (???) --- screen lock --- enter the current pin then set to none

oh dear, things are never being the same

my weekend got ruined by MS update KB2533623; after the update on the SBS 2008 SP1 server (virtualized on Xen 5.0.3); the shadow protect service wont start; un-install; re-install with different versions ; no luck;

those two links above lead me to un-install KB2533623; oh dear ; its that simple, had I known all that before hand.

If you are using the Windows internal database, if the sqlcmd command errors, try adding np: prior to the double backslashes. Like this:

sqlcmd –E –S np:\\.\pipe\MSSQL$MICROSOFT##SSEE\sql\query

using shadow protect recovery enviroment cd 4.1 to do headstart / incremental restore of windows 2003

using shadow protect recovery enviroment cd 4.1 to do headstart / incremental restore of windows 2003

I thought this is a feature in the enterprise edtion, I am wrong...

to restore to a XEN vm

start from the SP RE cd, choose restore (from a network location), then

select
restore
restore with incremental
finalize

yes, you can store from a point in time (not finalize), then continue to restore incrementals until the last one.

eventually finalize

quite clever feature ... and quite time-saving as well, as most of the time, it can run in parallel to the production server.

a disappointed feature removed from the free xen 6.0

apple.com failed mdaemon DKIM

apple.com failed mdaemon DKIM

http://lists.altn.com/WebX?14@@.5985c864/0

I just copy / paste the answer here

On MDaemon's "DKIM Options" page, check "Verifier honors body length count (l= tag)". MDaemon by default requires the entire message to be signed but here Apple is only signing the first 1024 bytes.
