gigabyte continous beeping ... what seems to be the problem
the exercise started when the client want free some space in the rack ... so move the innards from a 4U case to 2U, inwin case , 500w power supply , pitty not enough stands for the dual xeon, and there are no fans in the new case. oh dear I happen find some spare parts in their server room to save the day.
a 500 hard drive already making clunking sounds, luckily it is mirrorred
the dreadful thing is the motherboard is make continuous noise , and the screen is blank
tried to swap the memory, power supply ... no luck...
eventually pulled xeon cpu out and re-seated it ...
that makes pizza worth it
