If you haven't updated your windows 2012 R2 , please do fsutil resource setlog maxextents 100 C:\ ;;; before you restart server 2012 R2

recently I restarted our windows 2012 R2 hyper-v host which not being restarted for a long time

it failed to start. I asked the data center guy to take a photo of the console, it crashed upon starting

the reason is being the server not be updated / restarted for a long time

luckily for me, the server crashed to recovery console for me, so I just do
Dism /image:C:\ /cleanup-image /revertpendingactions
