You can manage storage space by clearing WeChat Cache.
Go to Me (In the bottom right corner of WeChat Messenger)
Go to Settings (Blue Gear)
Go to General
Go to Storage (Wait for the Wechat app to load your storage data)
Chose Clear WeChat Chat Cache (this will take some time)
