windows 10 black screen after crash / freezing ---- found out to be video memory problem
while doing something on my old HP notebook , the screen suddenly freezing and become mosaic
I reboot it , it initially showing windows logo , then black without cursor
boot the NB with windows PE , run chkdsk , fixed some file system errors
the PE screen looks ok
I did a generic HP BIOS check, it passed
then it can boot to recovery mode, it can even boot to safe mode
it just wont boot to normal mode
I did HP BIOS component video test, it showing video memory problem
I tried to boot in low-res video mode
no luck
