linux partition naming scheme
/dev/xxyN
N - the partition number
y - which device the partition is on
xx = hd - ide
xx = sd - scsi
show memory in your system
cat /proc/meminfo
change keyboard type /usr/sbin/kbdconfig
change mouse config
/usr/sbin/mouseconfig
change timezone
/usr/sbin/timeconfig
