setup eeepc pptp VPN is easy, tested ok internally. But got a LCP error externally accross the internet. I had a similar problem with Mac OS/x ages ago. tick off LCP in windows 2003 RAS server, no luck.
now remote desktop on eeepc,
press CTRL+ALT+t to bring up terminal
rdesktop -u jack -g 1024x768+0+0 private-ip-address
or use a public ip if straight over VPN
rdesktop -u jack -g 1024x768+0+0 public-ip-address
